This new Loring series is a remarkably sustainable and efficient roaster that gives you a highly focused cup. The design of this stainless steel roaster utilizes convection heat to roast rather than drum roaster that uses a mixture of convection and conduction. The closed air system uses the most environmentally conscious approach to roasting to date. This roaster has a range of 24 lbs up to 72 lbs per batch. CoRo is equipped with 2 Loring S35 Kestrels.
This new Loring series is a remarkably sustainable and efficient roaster that gives you a highly focused cup. The closed air system uses the most environmentally conscious approach to roasting to date. A more mid-size roaster than the Kestrel, this roaster fits 12 lbs and up to 28 lbs per batch.
This 5 kilo cast iron production roaster retains heat like a champion. It’s a perfect roaster for 4 lbs and up to 10 lbs of green coffee per batch. The clean natural gas burner is easy to control and is a cinch to learn. Probat coffee roasters are one of the most sought after and trusted drum roasters on the market. This particular series is the smallest version of the P type roaster and performs the same as its larger family members.
The Probat BRZ 2 is a natural gas powered double barrel sample roaster is a favorite among coffee roasters when roasting 90-100 gram green coffee samples. This tiny roaster is a fantastic tool to help you make purchasing decisions with green coffee. Whether you are looking for a specific flavor profile or to check a coffee for consistency, this is the most inexpensive and efficient tactic to reveal what a coffee has to offer.
The San Franciscan Roaster™ SF-1 serves as a sample roaster and a profile roaster with natural gas burners. The SF-1 can roast 200 grams to 1 pound of green coffee. Cropster has been integrated into this roaster to get the best profiles achievable. If you are ready to learn the intricacies of coffee roasting, develop a blends or roast approach, or want to do small batch sizes of high-end / micro-lot coffees, this is the machine.
Coming soon to CoRo: The 1kg Mill City! This natural gas roaster, with variable drum and fan speeds and integrated Cropster interface, is perfect for experienced roasting professionals looking for control from a small batch roaster. Its also an amazing fit for home roasters looking to up their capacity from the Probat BRZ 2. We can’t wait to get behind this roaster when it arrives at the end of November, 2018!

As part of the program, you can pick from 2 single origin green coffees. We'll help you roast it, create personalized labels and notes, and package it into twenty-five 12oz bags. It's a hands-on gift that comes with a great story to tell at holiday gatherings!
CoRo Roasting 101: Coffee Roasting Essentials
Every Monday, 9:30-11:30am. $260
Roasting 101 is a 3-person small-group class providing an introduction to coffee roasting. Perfect for roasters new to CoRo, home-roasters, and coffee enthusiasts - anyone interested in upping their roast game! In Roasting 101 students receive an overview of roasting machine operations and basic production logistics, safety procedures, and hands-on roasting of your own batch of green using our Probat, 5-kilo roaster. And on top of all the skills and knowledge, you leave the class with around 8lbs of delicious roasted coffee!
CoRo Roasting 102: 1-on-1 with a Roast Expert
Flexible scheduling, 2-hour session. $250
Roasting 102 is a 1-on-1 session with a CoRo Roasting Expert that dives deeper into any of the lessons of Roasting 101. Log time behind a roaster, build roast profiles, manage multiple batches, and become comfortable in the production space. Each session's instruction is tailored to the needs of the student. Students can bring their own green coffee or buy CoRo's curated green. While typically scheduled on a Monday, dates and times are flexible after initial registration.
CoRo Roasting 200: The Works
28 hours over 4 consecutive weeks, 3.5 hours/day

The Works is CoRo's comprehensive roasting course. Rooted in CoRo's mission to promote hyper-local coffee and support anyone interested in roasting, The Works is designed to help train the skills and develop the knowledge you need to jumpstart your coffee business.
