Come join us as we dive deep into the platform with our Masterclass! Taylor will be sharing details on new updates, what’s coming in the future, and answering your questions about the current platform. Some key points we'll cover: Installation and setup, Inventory management, Coffee sourcing, Production management, Roasting, Achieving administrative and communication goals, Roast and Cup Consistency and the importance of tracking both, and more! Participants are encouraged to bring a laptop if they have one, but it is not necessary to attend the class. The lecture will be displayed on a TV screen for everyone to follow along.

Introduction to Roasting Class

CoRo will be hosting an Intro to Roasting Class lead by Jen Apodaca & Chris Kornman of Royal Coffee, Inc! This 2 day course will offer a comprehensive introduction to the craft of coffee roasting. Students will be exposed to crucial concepts that  will shape their experience and provide the tools to practice both sample and production roasting safely and successfully. The class includes multiple tastings of the work performed as well as plenty of hands-on roasting time.

This is a 2 Day Class: (8/3: 9AM-2PM & 8/4 9AM-12PM)

Max Bretzke, long-time roaster and owner of Land and Water Coffee, will be roasting the Las Piedras Guatemalan Huehuetenango four different ways on our Loring Falcon 15K roaster. Come cup and compare the results.  We'll discuss how each profile impacts cup flavor. This unique event is sponsored by Blake Trafton (COO of Onyx Coffee Importers), who imported and will be donating the coffee.  Blake will join Max and all of us from Seattle!
